Question: How can I integrate survey into DNN 5.x? Is there any docs or howto?
Answer:
- One of the goals of the Survey project is to create an uptodate DNN 5.* module based on the Survey webapplication; for this we will need the help and assistance of the Community and/ or some good programmers/ architects and/ or DNN specialists; meanwhile we are making preparations to make the first steps in the right direction. For now only former DNN NSurvey modules are available that are not compatible with DNN 4 or 5. If you think you can contribute to the development of the DNN 5 version, please let us know.
- Besides the DNN module option there are other ways of integrating the Survey webapplication into you DNN website. Depending on the hosting options your provider offers you could even install both DNN and Survey on the same webaccount and with a shared Sql database. The Survey Demo site at survey.dotnetnukes.nl is one example of such an installation (more technical details will follow).
- One last sugestion is to make use of the Iframe module in DNN and refer to the Survey webapplication. This is done on this site also (check Samples). Note: the surveyproject.info communitysite is part of one DNN 5 installation that hosts two different websites. The Survey Demo webapplication shares the hosting account + sql server database with the DNN installation.
