Using SP v1.2.3

I have a survey question with multiple choice answers and I would like to restrict it to answer only 2 choices for example..

You are limited to select only two anwsers from the matrix question.

Q1. Select only two rows.

Row A.

Row B. selected

Row C. selected

Row D.

Is it possible to limit the number of selection to two rows only? The problem is that I can put a check mark on more than two rows in the 4 rows.

Note:

Its not the Max. selections allowed per row that I am looking for, but it is for the all rows max selections limit.

Thank you,

Hi,

Assuming you're trying to create a Matrix question, the option you are looking for does not exist yet. As you noticed you can set a limit on min./ max. selections allowed per row. Not on the nr. of rows to be answered.

Suggestions like these can always be submitted as a feature request through the Codeplex site at: http://survey.codeplex.com/workitem/list/advanced Thanks for asking.

Thank you,

I think that it would be great to have a feature in the survey question called "Rating scale" the question based on multiple choice matrix, with the following option "allow only one response per column" I think it is also called forced ranking. And an additional option to add "Other" or a comment field.

I will go ahead and submit the feature request through Codeplex site.
