Hi,

Any documentation/ helpfiles can be found at:
- survey.codeplex.com
- the integrated helpfiles of SP
- this (community) site

To get you started assuming you are  making use of SP version 2.3

- the (default) css files determining the look and feel of the surveys can be found in the directory:
../NsurveyAdmin/CSS/...

- currently there are two default files to use:
* nsurveyform.css (old legacy css – used if the Legacy Deployment Url is used – see menu Campaigns/ Web)
* surveymobile.css (latest version – used if the default Deployment Url is used)

- to change the layout and look and feel of an individual survey you can use the menu option Designer/ Layout; this is where you can upload and edit your own CSS files or add headers/ footers etc.;
- the uploaded css file will be added to the NsurveyAdmin/CSS/UserCss/[id] directory and linked to the survey selected at the moment of editing;

- one way to make use of it would be to upload the surveymobile.css from the general CSS directory to the UserCss directory and start editing the file to customize your survey;

The next version of SP (2.4) will have a lot of additional features to change look & feel and layout. We hope to publish it soon.

If you need any assistance with the current (2.3) version or would like to have a design specially made it’s also possible to make use of the SP business services for which I can send you a quote if you decide to make use of it.

I hope this answers your question for now.

Thank you so much for your assistance. It is much appreciated.

In V2.4, are you perhaps planning on:

  1. Using of bootstrap
  2. Getting rid of inline styling. This would really help when upgrading to a newer version

Any rough idea when 2.4 will be made available?

Hi,

You're welcome. Concerning 2.4
- bootstrap files are already part of v 2.3 (directory Content) but not actively used yet on the surveyform by default; however you can make use of them yourself;
- to get a preliminary description of new features and changes (incl. CSS), please check the document at:
https://github.com/surveyproject/surveyproject_main_public/blob/sp_24_dev/SurveyWAP/_Instructions/SP24_Features%26Fixes_v1_20160417.doc

There is no publication date for the final SP 2.4 release. You can try and check the current (beta) version at Github (branche SP_24_dev). It not fully tested and/ or production ready however.

I am having a similar issue. I verified the SQL Server Connection string. I gave everyone access to the directory containing the Web.config file. I verified the default database is the production database (and that is the correct connection string). I am not sure what else to verify. I have so far been unsuccessful in logging into the system once (with the admin username/password).

I had my IT guys look into it. It turns out that the issue is with accessing the site through Internet Explorer. Any reason why that would be the case?
