Hey,

I'm just testing out your app and it looks very good so far. Just wondering if you can help me on the results report.

I am reading in the id and name of an item from an sql query as a custom answer type for one of the questions. eg. "which item did you purchase". This information then only appears in the "text field entries" section. I want to be able to say choose all surveys where they pruchased item ID "1" and show all the survey results - how would I do that? Maybe through the filter section but I don't know what to write there.

Also slight possible bug BTW if you choose as the type a dropdownlist and then have an sql query for the values, with "Min selections required" set to 1 to make them choose a value, it always says you must select a value even when one is selected.

Thanks

Hello,

It's true Xml or Sql based questions currently do not show up as an option in the questions drop down list on the reporting page. As you already noticed answers are shown through the "text field entries". Filtering options will not solve your issue. For now you could possibly create you own query and run it directly against the database or export all data to csv or xml to create a report. We will examin the option to make xml or sql based questions part of the reports.

Concering the bug you've mentioned, you seem to be right. We will register this as an issue at http://survey.codeplex.com Thank you for your feedback and if you find any other issues feel free to register them at the codeplex site or let us know through the forums.
